June 27, 2023 | Women's Swimming & Diving
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's swimming and diving program has announced the schedule for the 2023-24 season. Head coach Rickey Perkins and the Falcons will appear at Cooper Pool five times throughout the season.
"We have some tough meets that will really test us this season," said Perkins. "We are very excited and looking forward to the challenges ahead."
The Orange and Brown will begin the season in Akron for the Zippy Classic on Oct. 13-14, and BGSU will return to Northeast Ohio the following weekend to meet Cleveland State (Oct. 21).
The final weekend of October sees the Falcons open the home portion of the regular-season schedule, as Ohio comes to Cooper Pool for a Mid-American Conference dual on Saturday afternoon, Oct. 28.
Then, the Falcons renew the Battle of I-75 by making a short trip north to face Toledo on November's opening weekend (Nov. 4).
BGSU will end the fall-semester portion of the schedule by returning to Cleveland for the Magnus Cup, hosted by CSU. That three-day event begins on Nov. 16.
The Falcons open the spring semester slate with a Jan. 6 dual at Marshall, before the BG divers head to Western New York for the Buffalo Diving Invite (Jan. 13-14).
BG returns to MAC competition, hosting Miami (OH) on Jan. 19 before traveling to Eastern Michigan (Jan. 26) on the final two Friday's of January. Then, BG will face UT and UB, with Friday's (Feb. 2) action in the Glass City and Saturday's (Feb. 3) portion of the meet taking place at Cooper Pool.
The UT/UB meet is the Falcons' final action until the MAC Championships, which will run from Feb. 28 through March 2 in Athens, Ohio.
A plethora of national meets take place in mid-to-late March, including the National Invitational Championships (March 14-16), NCAA Diving Zones (March 15-16) and the NCAA Championships (March 20-23).
Prior to the regular-season schedule, BGSU will host a pair of events on back-to-back Saturdays in September. The Orange vs. Brown meet is set for Sept. 16, with the Jean Campbell Alumnae meet taking place on Sept. 23 at Cooper Pool.
