Q: You just completed your second fall season with the Falcons. Can you give us an insiders look into what makes this team special and what this team is about?
A: This team is extremely special because we wake up every day and push each other to be our absolute best. It’s truly special to be in an environment where everyone wants to get better and grow as a team. We push each other to excel. When someone is struggling or working on a part of their game, we rally to support that teammate. It is important to come from a strength-based perspective and our coaches do that and it ripples through the team. This has led to our highest ranking in program history

Q: As a freshmen, you are one of the team’s leading scorers. What are a few highlights from the Fall that have meant the most to you?
A: Our team had a lot of success this fall season and I have been honored to be a part of it. Right when I got on campus this fall , I knew that this team has what it takes to be successful because every single person in the program is pushing each other to get better. My favorite part of the fall has been the overall feeling I have had that I am a part of something bigger than myself. When rankings came out and we found out our ranking was #148 and best in program history, it lit a fire under the whole team and validated we are doing something right. That was definitely a really cool moment for me realizing that I am on a team of like minded people who are ready to get after it this offseason and keep our success going in the spring.
Ava O’Sullivan
Q: Can you talk about your performance at the Powercat Invitational and what it means to receive your second MAC Golfer of the Week?
A: At the Powercat Invitational, I felt I played well because the course set up well for my game and I felt very confident going into the tournament. I was hitting lots of fairways and greens throughout the entire tournament and focused on getting as many pars as possible while also keeping the high numbers off the scorecard. Winning my second MAC player of the week meant that all of the hard work I put into my game from the summer and being patient with recovering from my knee injury was all worth it. It was also awesome to have our team playing well and earning a top 5 finish in a Power 4 tournament.
Sammie Dolce
Q: You were able to rewrite the record books a little bit with your performance at the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational. Can you talk about that accomplishment?
A: I am very happy with my strong finish at the Loyola Parkinson Family Invitational where I shot my lowest score (73-71-73 (+1)) of the fall and had a top 3 individual finish. I am also very proud of how our team came together to finish in the top 5. I’m excited for what this team is going to accomplish in the spring including rewriting a few more records!
Clare Yeazell
Q: You appeared in every tournament in your freshman fall and finished with a top five finish in the last fall tournament. What do you think is contributing to your early success in your career?
A: I think what contributed the most was how welcoming and accepting my team and coaches were. I committed very late to BG so coming into my freshman year, I really didn’t know anybody yet, but as soon as I met the girls we all just clicked and I felt right at home. Being able to feel so comfortable around my team was what let me feel more relaxed on the golf course and definitely helped me perform better. Coach Fahey was a huge part of it too. Just being there for me and being so patient with me while I worked through a few mental blocks was an enormous contribution to my success.
Coach Erin Fahey
Q: This fall was the best fall since your first full season here as a coach. How do you think that the team will use this momentum going into spring season?
A: This was a very successful fall season for us. We saw success from every player on our roster, which as a coach is exactly what you want to see. This team is a group of nine likeminded student-athletes, who want to get better each day, hold each other to a high standard, and want the best for the team. It has been very rewarding coaching this group. In preparation for the spring season, we will look at each player's statistics and create a plan for each of them to improve all areas of their games. Work ethic is something I don't have to worry about with this group. There is a lot of confidence in our locker room and that will continue to build as we get to work this off-season in preparation for the spring season.
