BGSU returns to action next weekend at Cleveland State
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University tennis team wound up with a split on a weekend trip to Northeast Ohio, falling to host Youngstown State University, 6-1, on Sunday afternoon (Feb. 11) at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center.
Isabella Baker picked up a win in straight sets at the number-four singles flight for the Falcons (3-3), while Lucy Furness and Hannah Neuman captured a 6-2 win at the top doubles flight.
The Penguins (2-6) took two of the three doubles matches to earn the afternoon's initial point, and won straight-sets matches at the third and first singles flights. Baker swept through her singles match, closing out a straight-sets victory over YSU's Lili Minich, but the hosts were able to pick up a win in three sets at the second flight, for the decisive point.
