Two Falcons Find Finals in Day Two of MAC Championships

ATHENS, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University swimming and diving team continued competition today at Day 2 of the MAC Championship. The Falcons currently sit in 8th place with a total team score of 49.
The Falcons were represented by both a swimmer and diver in the night's finals. Senior swimmer and team captain Ava Vial was able to secure the last spot in the 200 IM finals with a time of 2:04.24. During the finals Vial swam to a time of 2:04.15 more than a 3.5 second drop from her seed time in prelims.
Diver Sarah Butt competed in her first MAC Championship final today. Butt was able to capture the 15th spot in the 1-Meter dive prelims with a score of 229.25. Sarah Butt then flew to a score of 228.30. This score was good enough for 14th place and a one-place improvement on her original seeding after prelims.
The Orange and Brown ended the night in the 400 Medley Relay. The team of Emily McNicol, Joanna Robertson, Grace Bodrock, and Elayna Krupp swam to a time of 3:45.06 and an eighth-place finish.
