Mateya Haintz Named MAC Field Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference has announced two student-athletes as its Womens' Track and Field Athletes of the Week, with Bowling Green's Mateya Haintz earning MAC Field Athlete of the Week. The graduate placed first in the hammer throw, this past weekend at Miami's Blizzard Buster (Mar. 22)
MAC Field Athlete of the Week: Mateya Haintz, Graduate, Bowling Green
Mateya Haintz placed first in the hammer throw, recording a 195' 0" performance. Haintz leads the MAC in the hammer throw and currently sits at 27th in the NCAA. She recorded her third best performance and holds the fourth all-time record in the hammer throw at BGSU (197.1) which was recorded in 2023. This is the first MAC weekly honors for the graduate and the first for the Falcons this year.
Up Next
The Falcons will be back in action next weekend (Mar. 28-Mar. 30) where they will split between the Raleigh Relays (NC State) and the Oliver Nikoloff Invitational (Cincinnati).
