Haintz and Staples Earn All-MAC Honors

Haintz named to All-MAC first-team; Staples named to All-MAC second-team
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference has announced its end-of-year awards for outdoor track and field, with two Falcons awarded All-MAC Honors after last weekends championship meet in Dekalb, Illinois. Overall the Falcons finished in ninth place with 47 points.
Mateya Haintz was named first-team All-MAC for her performance in the hammer throw. Haintz placed first in the hammer-throw with a 191'9" (58.44m). Another Falcon named to the All-MAC Honors was Bianca Staples. Staples placed second in the triple jump with a 41' 3.75" performance (12.59m). Staples also competed in the 4x400, running the third leg. Overall the 4x400 squad ran a 3:51.69 time to finish ninth.
