Falcons to Face Minutewomen on Sun., Jan. 25, on CBSSN
The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team's Mid-American Conference game at the University of Massachusetts has been selected for national television. On Tuesday morning (Dec. 10), the conference office announced that the Falcons will face the Minutewomen on Sunday, Jan. 25, on CBS Sports Network. Tipoff has been set for 4:00 p.m. at the Mullins Center in Amherst, Mass.
The Falcons are 5-4 on the season, with three games remaining in the current six-game homestand, the longest in school history. BGSU hosts Lourdes on Sunday (Dec. 14), followed by a Tuesday morning (Dec. 16) "School Day Game" vs. Le Moyne. Then, head coach Fred Chmiel's team will open the MAC portion of the schedule on Saturday, Dec. 20, against Kent State at the Stroh Center.
Massachusetts is off to a 7-1 start on the season, and the Minutewomen are idle until a pair of games in the FIU Christmas Classic in Miami, Fla., on Dec. 19-20. UMass officially joined the MAC on July 1, 2025.
BGSU holds a 2-0 lead in the series with UMass, having faced the Minutewomen in two games played exactly one year apart. The Falcons picked up a 64-61 win in Amherst (Dec. 19, 2012) before posting an 86-46 victory at the Stroh Center the following season (Dec. 19, 2013).
