Special moments with BGSU volleyball 2025 seniors

BGSU volleyball signed three players before the 2022 regular season, who played their final matches with the team in the 2025 Mid-American Conference Tournament. Isabelle Laube, Lauryn Hovey and Jessica Andrews brought four years of success, community, and joy to the Falcons among some of the best teams in program history.

The three grew up less than an hour from each other in Ontario, Canada, but called Bowling Green home through an 83-48 record, four total MAC championships, 14 individual All-MAC awards, and the longest postseason tournament run in program history with an appearance in a national championship.

After the 2025 season, Laube received the AVCA's Coaches 4 Coaches scholarship, which serves to fund her and 15 others' first trip to the AVCA Convention, this year in Kansas City, Missouri. The convention provides a major networking and educational opportunity to those who, like Laube, are aspiring volleyball coaches.

Hovey finishes her career as one of the best players to touch a Bowling Green court. Her accolades include four All-MAC First Teams, three All-MAC Tournament Teams, and an All-MAC Freshman Team selection. She was also labeled the 2024 MAC Player of the Year, 2022 MAC Freshman of the Year, and MAC Tournament MVP, an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention in 2024.

Playing in 116 of a possible 131 matches during her four seasons, Andrews joined Hovey on the 2022 MAC All-Freshman Team before two All-MAC Second Teams and an All-MAC First Team selection.
In the program's Rally Scoring Era (since 2001), she ranks third in solo blocks, blocking assists (5th all-time), total blocks (7th all-time), and hitting percentage (6th all-time).

They are collectively regarded by teammates, coaches and the community as the pride of Falcon volleyball, some of the best players and people to wear Orange and Brown. Now that their lives will take them away from BG, they reflect on the time spent in their Falcon home and with their Falcon family.
