JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A program record six individual athletes represented BGSU track & field at the NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville at the University of North Florida.
A rain-soaked first day on Thursday did not dampen Kylee Cubbison's quest to reach the NCAA Championships, as she took 24th in the first round of the 1,500m (4:17.25) to secure the last qualifying spot for the quarterfinals.
Unfortunately, a trip to Eugene was not meant to be as the junior placed 22nd in the quarterfinals two days later (4:20.36).
Hammer thrower Trista Fintel placed 18th in the event (60.42m), while Morgan Patterson came in 34th in the long jump (5.85m) to round out Thursday's BGSU appearances.
Because of a very long rain delay, the shot put got moved to Friday morning. Fintel finished her Falcon career 29th in the event (15.34m).
On Saturday, Sabrina Imes and Bianca Staples came in 29th (12.49m) and 43rd (12.14m), respectively, in the triple jump while Katherine Mendenhall tied for 38th (1.69m) in the high jump to end her Falcon career.
