BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University gymnastics program and head coach Brittney Emmons have announced the 2027 competition schedule, which includes four home dates inside the Stroh Center and the MAC Championships on March 20.
"I am excited for the 2027 competition schedule and the opportunities it provides to our program this year," Emmons said. "It was an amazing 2026 competition season, along with hosting the MAC Championships, and we are looking forward to building on the progress we have made."
Before the regular season begins, the Falcons will hold their Orange & Brown Intrasquad on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 1 p.m. in Anderson Arena.
"We look forward to the energy this season will bring, beginning with our Orange & Brown Intrasquad on December 5th at 1 p.m. in Anderson Arena," Emmons said.
The Falcons officially open the season Sunday, Jan. 10, at Eastern Michigan, with the meet set for 1 p.m. at the George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti, Mich.
The Stroh Center will play host to plenty of MACtion this year. BGSU will host Wisconsin-Whitewater, Wilberforce and Ball State (Jan. 15), Ball State (Jan. 31), Western Michigan (Feb. 14) and Kent State (Feb. 21). The home schedule begins with a Friday night quad meet on Jan. 15, which the program will celebrate as its Orange Wave themed meet.
"We have a strong 2027 home schedule, opening with a Friday night quad meet in the Stroh," Emmons said. "We look to have that competition as our Orange Wave themed meet to bring the students and community out to support us."
Bowling Green's road schedule will give them the chance to compete against talented teams all over the country. The Falcons will travel for Eastern Michigan (Jan. 10), Northern Illinois (Jan. 22), George Washington in Washington, D.C. (Feb. 7), Centenary in Shreveport, La. (Feb. 26), Texas Woman's in Denton, Texas (Feb. 28), Central Michigan (March 7) and Maryland in College Park, Md. (March 14).
"Our away meets will provide us with some tough competition; however, it gives us the ability to travel and see some new schools," Emmons said. "Being able to take the trip down to Louisiana to compete against Centenary on Friday, then take on Texas Woman's on Sunday, is going to be such a fun and exciting experience for these athletes."
The MAC Championships will be held at the George Gervin GameAbove Center in Ypsilanti, Mich., on Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m.
