Bowling Green Finishes Fifth at George Dales

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Bowling Green men's cross country team ran their first 8K of the season on Friday morning, placing fifth at the George Dales Invitational. The race featured 10 teams and 145 runners, and three Falcons placed in the top 20.
Owen Zaumeyer once again led BGSU with a 10th place, 25:13.5 finish. That was a new personal record for the junior, who outran his 2025 MAC Championship time by over 40 seconds.
Freshman Aiden Lee followed in 15th, completing his first collegiate 8K in 25:32.1. Luke Lesseur's 25:41.1 race was a new personal best and good for 20th overall.
Colin Buening followed Lesseur in at 25:58.3 (29th), while Luke Woolard crossed in at 26:16.7 (38th, PR). Wyatt Ulbricht set a new personal record (26:21.3, 41st) and Micah Bentley (26:32.6, 48th) rounded out the top seven for Bowling Green.
Gibson Shore reached the finish in 26:48.4. Cameron Hohman paced to 27:05.5 while Ashton Boyd (27:13.0) finished the day for the Falcons.
BGSU will return to the course in two weeks when they travel to Lehigh, Pa. for the Paul Short Run on Oct. 2.
