Women’s Golf Heads to East Lansing for the Mary Fossum Invitational

East Lansing, Mich. - On Sunday, Sept. 20, the BGSU women's golf team will travel to East Lansing, Mich., for the Mary Fossum Invitational hosted by Michigan State University. At Forest Akers East in East Lansing, Mich., the tournament will begin with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Rounds one and two will be play Sunday, followed by 18 holes on Monday, Sept. 21. It will be a 54 hole, play five, count four team score format.
The Falcons are coming off a second place finish as a team at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational, where for the second straight season, Addison Kartusch won the A-Ga-Min Invitational.
This is the fourth time the Falcons will be competing in the Mary Fossum Invitational, the first since 2017. The Mary Fossum Invitational will mark the Falcons halfway done with there fall schedule.
The Lineup
BGSU's lineup is led by junior Addison Kartusch, who is coming off a first place finish at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational two weeks ago (Sept. 7), where she posted a -5. Junior McKenzie Miller is looking after shooting +6 and tying for 14 at A-Ga-Ming Invitational. Junior Macie Elzinga will fill in the third slot in the lineup for the Falcons after shooting 14 over par two weeks ago. Copelin O'Kangley is fourth in the lineup. Rounding out the Falcons is Avery Thompson, who shot 10 over par and tied for 25 while competing individually at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational.
