THE 2006-07 SENIOR CLASS
BGSU[apos]s senior class in 2006-07 was arguably the finest in school -- and Mid-American Conference -- history ... Amber Flynn, Julie Gompers, Liz Honegger, Carin Horne, Ali Mann and Megan Thorburn helped the Falcons to an average of over 25 wins per year, going 103-25 (including a perfect 8-0 vs. Toledo) ... BGSU advanced to the championship game of the MAC Tournament in all four seasons, winning the last three ... in fact, the Falcons won both the league regular-season and tournament titles in each of the group[apos]s final three years, advancing to the NCAA Championships ... as seniors, the class helped the Falcons to NCAA tourney victories over Oklahoma State and #7/8 Vanderbilt, for the first [apos]Sweet 16[apos] appearance ever by a MAC women[apos]s team ... that 2006-07 squad won 31 games, the most by a MAC basketball team -- men or women -- in history.
HORNE AND THE FALCONS
The 12th-leading scorer in BGSU history with 1,341 points ... tied for third in career steals at the University (218), and ranks fourth in three-point field goals made (170), second in three-pointers attempted (540) ... scored in double digits in the MAC Tournament championship game in all four seasons at BG ... had 17, 17, 16 and 11 points in those four contests, helping the Falcons to wins in the latter three ... graduated in just three-and-a-half years, earning her undergraduate degree in December of 2006 ... had 69 double-digit scoring games in her career ... averaged 15.4 points and 6.4 rebounds in her last seven career games at Cleveland[apos]s Gund/Quicken Loans Arena.

Named to the All-MAC Third Team ... named the Falcons[apos] Impact Player of the Year for the second-straight season ... also was a co-recipient of the Playmaker of the Year award ... played in 30 games, starting all ... averaged 11.7 points and 4.4 rebounds on the year, ranking third on the team in the former category and fourth in the latter ... hit a total of 47 three-point field goals to rank second on the Brown and Orange ... averaged 12.0 points and 3.3 boards in MAC games, and led the team in free-throw percentage (90.0%) in conference contests ... named to the all-tournament team at Indiana[apos]s Hampton Inn Classic ... scored 15 points in the championship game of that tourney, a win over host Indiana ... 12 points and five steals at Florida International ... had 16 points at Kentucky ... had 17 points in win at Buffalo, leading all players in both points and steals (4) ... had 16 points in 25 minutes in home win over Ohio, and amassed 17 points in the next game, vs. Miami ... led BG with 14 points in narrow road win over Central Michigan ... scored 16 points, including a key three-pointer late in the game, in win over Western Michigan ... had 14 points, all in the second half, in come-from-behind win at Toledo ... point total included a back-breaking three-pointer with 28.6 seconds left ... had a game- and season-high 20 points, in just 21 minutes, in win at Akron ... 13 points in MAC Tournament win over Northern Illinois ... in the next game, scored 11 points as the Falcons downed Toledo in the semifinal round ... led the Falcons in both scoring and rebounding, with 16 points and nine boards, in the MAC Tournament championship-game win over Kent State ... had seven points, four boards, three assists and three steals vs. UCLA in NCAA Championships.

An explosive scorer who put up some of the Falcons[apos] top single-game numbers of the season ... named the team[apos]s Most Improved Player ... saw action in 30 games, making a total of eight starts ... averaged 7.3 points and 3.4 rebounds per game ... had 9.7 points and 4.6 boards in MAC games ... had started eight-straight contests before playing seven minutes off the bench at Ball State due to illness ... came off the bench in the season[apos]s last six games ... had the top-two scoring games by a MAC freshman on the year, with 34 points in the season[apos]s first meeting with Ball State, and 28 in the second Northern Illinois encounter ... her point total in the first BSU meeting set a school record for a freshman, and was just one point shy of matching the overall BGSU single-game scoring record ... scored a team-high 17 points in the MAC Tournament[apos]s championship game, vs. Eastern Michigan ... had eight points in the tourney win over Miami, after totalling seven points and seven boards in win over Western Michigan two days earlier ... scored seven points and tied her season high with four steals at Marshall ... had her second consecutive double-double, with 15 points and 10 rebounds in only 22 minutes vs. KSU ... exploded for a game-high 28 points, including 18 in the overtime periods, vs. NIU ... made a BGSU season-high five three-pointers, in 10 attempts ... also had 11 rebounds for her first collegiate double-double ... went 11-for-22 from the field vs. the Huskies ... tied for game honors with 19 points at Ohio ... had 16 points, six rebounds and three steals at Miami ... made her first collegiate start vs. UB, and had nine points, six boards and a season-high three assists ... nine points in 13 minutes in the win over Akron ... had a monster game in the home contest vs. BSU, exploding for 34 points, with seven rebounds, four steals and two blocks ... made 11-of-19 shots in that game, and scored 22 consecutive BG points in the second half ... was 4-of-8 from three-point land and 8-for-8 from the free-throw line in 24 minutes ... prior to the BSU game, had scored a total of 31 points on the season ... scored six points at IUPUI, going 2-of-2 from three-point land ... had 10 points in the win over Detroit ... scored five points vs. SE Missouri State.

A four-year letterwinner for coach Ron Robinson at Lima Senior High School ... was an Associated Press Division I All-Ohio Second Team selection after averaging 19.6 points per game as a senior ... also had 8.5 rebounds and 4.5 steals per game ... averaged 18.0 points and 7.9 boards as a junior ... shot nearly 38% from three-point range that year, making 27 treys ... named to the [quote]Dream Team[quote] in each of her last two years, earning that team[apos]s player-of-the-year honor as a senior ... an all-district and all region selection on multiple occasions for the Spartans ... averaged double digits in scoring in all four years, and pulled down at least seven rebounds per game every year ... PERSONAL
Carin A. Horne was born March 8, 1985, in Lima ... a forensic psychology major with a sociology minor at BGSU ... as mentioned above, earned her undergraduate degree in just three-and-a-half years, graduating in December of 2006 ... daughter of Henry and Ruby Horne ... the youngest of three daughters ... member of Black Student Union and NAACP ... aunt, Jacquelyn Crisp (Tyre), played basketball at Virginia Tech.
