BGSU[apos]s senior class in 2006-07 was arguably the finest in school -- and Mid-American Conference -- history ... Amber Flynn, Julie Gompers, Liz Honegger, Carin Horne, Ali Mann and Megan Thorburn helped the Falcons to an average of over 25 wins per year, going 103-25 (including a perfect 8-0 vs. Toledo) ... BGSU advanced to the championship game of the MAC Tournament in all four seasons, winning the last three ... in fact, the Falcons won both the league regular-season and tournament titles in each of the group[apos]s final three years, advancing to the NCAA Championships ... as seniors, the class helped the Falcons to NCAA tourney victories over Oklahoma State and #7/8 Vanderbilt, for the first [apos]Sweet 16[apos] appearance ever by a MAC women[apos]s team ... that 2006-07 squad won 31 games, the most by a MAC basketball team -- men or women -- in history.
2006-07
Averaged 5.6 points and 1.8 rebounds per game, while starting all 35 contests ... had 48 successful three-point field goals and a 41.4% three-point FG percentage ... third on the Falcons in three-pointers made, and second in long-range accuracy ... in MAC games only, finished second in the entire league in three-point FG pct., making 45.2% of her triple tries ... averaged 7.4 points per game in MAC contests ... her seven double-digit scoring games on the year included a season-high 22-point outburst at Buffalo ... made six three-pointers, just one shy of the school[apos]s single-game record, in that win ... had punished the Bulls in the season[apos]s first meeting as well, with 21 points and a season-high seven rebounds at Anderson Arena ... opened the year with 10 points at Detroit ... the next time out, had 17 points, going 5-for-6 from three-point land, against Notre Dame ... hit five more three-pointers just two games later, going 5-for-7 in a blowout win over Fairleigh Dickinson ... scored 15 points in that win, adding a season-high four assists ... was 11-of-19 from three-point range in the season[apos]s first four games ... was 3-for-5 from the field in the MAC opener at Akron, scoring eight points in 18 minutes ... then had her 21-point, seven-board game vs. UT, going 4-of-8 from three-point range and a perfect 5-for-5 from the line ... free-throw and rebounding totals were season highs ... had 15 points in the win at Western Michigan, adding three assists and two steals ... led a balanced Falcon attack with 14 points, including four three-pointers, in home win over Akron, before the 22-point outburst at UB ... scored six points in back-to-back games, against Miami and Toledo ... was a perfect 2-for-2 from three-point land in the MU game, on Senior Night at Anderson Arena ... the latter game was in the quarterfinal round of the MAC Tournament ... had six more points on two more treys, and added three assists in league tourney championship-game triumph over Ball State ... hit a triple against Oklahoma State, in BGSU[apos]s first NCAA tourney win in 18 years ... averaged 6.1 ppg and shot 45.0% (18-of-40) from three-point land in home games.
2005-06
Played in all 31 games, making 19 starts ... averaged 3.0 points and 1.5 rebounds per game ... started 15 of the 16 MAC games, all wins, and averaged 3.8 points per contest ... ignited the Falcon offense with a pair of three-point field goals early in the second half of the MAC Tournament quarterfinal win over Northern Illinois ... her second three-ball lifted the Falcons within a point early in the second half, and was part of a 10-0 BG run that gave the Falcons the lead for good ... all three of her double-digit games on the year came in conference regular-season play ... had a combined 25 points in the first two MAC contests, vs. Akron and Buffalo ... made seven three-pointers in that span ... scored 11 points in the win over the Zips, going 3-for-4 from three-point land ... had a season-high 14 points in the next game, making five field goals -- including four from long distance -- in the win at UB ... scored 11 points in the final regular-season game, the win at Miami ... hit three triples in just over four minutes in the second half of that win ... went 7-for-13 from behind the arc over the last six regular-season contests ... had a total of 21 successful treys, and shot a team-best 40.4 percent from long range.
2004-05
Played in 29 games, making 10 starts ... ranked sixth on the team in scoring, averaging 3.5 points per game ... also had 1.1 rebounds per contest ... the Falcons went 7-3 in games she started ... exploded for a career-high 26 points in win at IPFW, going 10-for-20 from the field ... also set a career best with five assists in that game, and added five rebounds ... also hit double digits in win over Winthrop, with 16 points ... went 6-for-10 from the floor in that victory, at the Brown Classic in Providence, R.I. ... scored nine points, tying for the team lead, in the season opener on the road against nationally-ranked Ohio State ... made three of her four shots on the night ... had seven points and tied her season best with five rebounds in road win over Robert Morris.

Played in all 31 games, starting 23 ... started the first 17 contests of the year ... also started the last six games of the year, as the Falcons went 5-1 in that time ... averaged 6.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists ... had 17 points in each of the final two MAC games ... in addition to her 17 points, had eight boards vs. Toledo ... also scored 17 at Ball State to set a personal season best for a MAC game ... had 15 points off the bench, on 5-of-7 shooting, vs. Northern Illinois ... four points on 2-for-3 shooting at Central Michigan ... came off the bench in the Buffalo game, for the first time in her career ... had suffered from food poisoning prior to that game ... scored six points and tied for team honors with eight rebounds at UT ... had her first collegiate double-double, with 14 points and a season-high 10 rebounds in just 18 minutes vs. Akron ... had 10 points in the win at NIU ... had 13 points in 21 minutes vs. Cleveland State ... scored 10 points vs. Eastern Kentucky ... exploded for 22 points in her collegiate debut, at Youngstown State ... had 11 points vs. SE Missouri State ... six rebounds in that game and vs. Detroit ... had 10 points and nine rebounds at IUPUI ... scored nine points vs. Bucknell and eight vs. both UDM and Oakland.
HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year letterwinner at Mason High School ... averaged 19 points and seven rebounds per game as a senior for the Bulldogs, en route to all-state fifth-team honors by the Detroit Free Press ... was named to the All-Capital Circuit First Team in each of her last three years, after earning third-team honors as a freshman ... was rated as the 11th-best returning player in the state of Michigan by the Free Press ... that paper listed her as one of the state[apos]s top-100 players in each of her last two years ... ranked the third-best senior wing in the state of Michigan and one of the top 35 senior wings in the country by the All-Star Girls Basketball Report ... helped Mason to a combined 43-5 record and back-to-back league and district titles in her first two years ... two-time team captain and MVP ... also lettered in volleyball and track ... in the latter sport, had a high jump of five feet in the Michigan H.S. state meet as a sophomore ... two-time all-league selection in that sport, and twice qualified for the state tourney.
PERSONAL
Megan Catherine Thorburn was born April 20, 1984, in Denver, Colo. ... a physical education major at BGSU ... daughter of Bruce and Audrey Thorburn ... has a younger sister ... helped her club team, the Livingston Sting, to an AAU state championship in the summer of 2002.
