Audra Clark enters her second season as a member of the BGSU women's basketball staff in 2024-25. She was named the Falcons' video coordinator in June of 2023, and is now the program's Director of Player Personnel.
“We couldn’t be more pleased that Audra chose BG to continue her young career," said Falcon head coach Fred Chmiel at the time of Clark's hiring. "She has a wealth of experiences and a youthful exuberance that will assist us in a variety of ways."
In the new staff's first season at BGSU, Chmiel, Clark and Company guided the Falcons to a winning record and a postseason tournament berth despite a veritable plethora of injuries.
After seeing the departure of four starters from the previous year's team, the Falcons were picked to finish fourth in the Mid-American Conference in 2023-24. Despite losing an estimated 126 player-games to injury, BGSU finished in a tie for fourth in the final league standings and advanced to the WNIT.
Clark came to BGSU after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach at SUNY Cortland. The Red Dragons, coached by former BGSU assistant coach Jacey Brooks during that time, had an overall record of 45-11 and a State University of New York Athletic Conference record of 32-4.
“I am honored to be joining such a talented staff of coaches who are dedicated to the success of the student-athletes,” said Clark at the time of her hiring. “I am excited to collaborate and learn from them as well as be part of a strong culture.
“Bowling Green has had great success and I am thrilled to be a part of this program and this community.”
In the 2021-22 campaign, Clark was part of the SUNYAC Coaching Staff of the Year as the Red Dragons won the SUNYAC regular-season title and earned an NCAA at-large berth. Cortland went 21-6 overall and 16-2 in the league.
The ‘22-23 season saw the Red Dragons post a 24-5 overall mark and another 16-2 league ledger. Cortland won the league tournament title for the first time since 2010 and advanced to the NCAA Division III Tournament’s second round.
Prior to her two years at Cortland, Clark served as an assistant coach at Oswego State from 2019-21 and coached the Minnesota Metro Stars AAU Club in 2018-19.
Clark is a 2019 graduate of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn., where one of her coaches was former BGSU director of operations Tim Kjar. Clark was a four-year starting point guard and a team captain in her junior and senior seasons, and made 106 career starts.
Clark is the school’s career leader with 1,483 points and 379 assists, and ranks third with 199 steals. She earned four Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) all-conference honors; she was a first team selection as a junior and senior and an honorable mention choice as a freshman and sophomore. Clark also earned a spot on the 2014-15 MIAC All-Freshman Team.
A native of Kenyon, Minn., Clark is a 2014 alumna of Kenyon-Wanamingo H.S., where she was a three-time all-conference and all-area basketball player and 1,000-point scorer.
