Besides being named to the All-MAC Academic Team, Taylor was named the BGSU Senior Scholar-Athlete of the Year ... she also earned recognition as one of the Top 10 Outstanding Seniors of the Year amongst her University peers prior to graduation ... played in 32-of-34 games averaging 3.3 ppg and 1.0 rpb ... a tri-captain ... opened the season with a then career high 22 minutes versus Valparaiso (Nov. 9) scoring five points and contributing three assists ... played another 22 minutes versus St. Bonaventure (Nov. 11) scoring five points and going 2-2 from the field and 1-1 from the stripe to shoot 1.000 for the game ... at the Cornell Classic (Nov. 30-Dec. 1) was 6-10 from the field and 3-6 from behind the three point line en route to brining in 8 and 7 point nights in a total of 32 minutes played ... committed just two turnovers in that time ... averaged 2.8 ppg and 0.8 rpg through the non-conference season ... opened the MAC season going 4-4 from the floor (all from behind the three-point line) scoring 13 points in the Falcons win over Akron (Jan. 9) ... would go on to hit eight consecutive three pointers at Kent State (Jan. 16) to not only break the school record for three-pointers in a single game, but also to open the MAC season sinking 12 consecutive treys ... versus Kent scored a game and career high 28 points ... hit 10 consecutive shots from the floor before missing her 11th with 32-seconds remaining in the game ... that night came within a three pointer of the NCAA single-game record ... if she would have made the last shot she would have been only the second player in Falcon women[apos]s history to make more than 10 shots without missing one ... against Northern Illinois (Feb. 9), Taylor scored six points going 2-3 from the floor ... contributed a big three pointer putting the Falcons ahead seven mid-way through the second half of play at Ohio University (Feb. 27) ... with the 82-67 win, she and fellow senior Kate Achter became the winningest class in MAC history - total of 104 in four years as of Feb. 27, 2008 ... contributed six points going 3-5 from the field versus Buffalo (Mar. 1) on Senior Day ... scored once from the field and pulled down a rebound as the Falcons beat Kent State in the quarterfinal match of the MAC Tournament ... led the league in three point field goal percentage in MAC only games for a majority of the conference season ... grabbed a pair of rebounds in a semifinal loss to Ohio in the MAC Tournament ... in first and only post season game in Anderson Arena, grabbed a rebound while dishing one assist in a WNIT win over Dayton (Mar. 20) ... in her final collegiate game, a second round WNIT loss at Michigan State (Mar. 22), grabbed a defensive rebound in four minutes played ... graduates with a 108-23 (.824) overall record.

Played in nine games off the bench, averaging 3.1 points and 1.1 rebounds ... a co-recipient of BG[apos]s Scholar-Athlete-of-the-Week Award, earning that honor for the second-straight season ... saw action in nine of the season[apos]s first 10 contests before suffering an injury in practice on Dec. 26 and missing the rest of the season ... played a then career-high 18 minutes in the season opener at Detroit, scoring a season-high 10 points ... made four free throws in that game to set another career standard ... three points and a career-high three assists vs. Albany in the UCF Tournament ... the next night, went for nine points in the win over Fairleigh Dickinson ... played several minutes at the point-guard position in her final game of the season, the UT-Arlington contest ... did not commit a turnover in that game ... had two rebounds on four occasions.
2005-06
Saw action in 20 games off the bench, including in all three wins in the Kraft MAC Tournament as well as the NCAA Championships first-round game vs. UCLA ... averaged 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds per game ... won BGSU[apos]s Scholar-Athlete of the Year award ... had a season-high seven points in the Falcons[apos] first win over Miami, going 3-for-4 from the field ... averaged 4.0 points and 12.0 minutes per game over her last three regular-season contests ... that three-game span included a 2-for-3 effort, both from beyond the arc, en route to six points at Akron, and a four-point night in the second Miami game ... vs. UA, tied her career highs with two three-point field goals made, two assists and a steal in that win, and also had the first blocked shot of her career ... played 15 minutes to tie her season high in that second MU contest, in Oxford ... also saw 15 minutes of action vs. Iona, with two assists and three rebounds.
2004-05
Played in 24 games in her first season at BGSU, making one start ... averaged 1.9 points per contest ... started the first game of her collegiate career, on the road against nationally-ranked Ohio State ... scored in double digits in a pair of wins, with 13 points at IPFW, and 10 points in just 12 minutes vs. Utah State ... played a season-high 17 minutes in that IPFW contest ... hit two three-point field goals in each of three different games, including a 2-of-3 long-range performance at Ball State ... also drained two treys vs. IPFW and Winthrop ... scored six points vs. both BSU and Winthrop ... had two rebounds on three occasions ... her 10-point performance vs. USU included a perfect 3-for-3 effort from the free-throw line.

A four-year letterwinner for coaches Mike Gallagher and Frank Pilsitz at Wooster High School ... an All-Ohio Second-Team selection her senior year after helping the Generals to a 17-6 record ... was the Ohio Cardinal Conference Player of the Year in the school[apos]s first season in that league, and was the District 4 Player of the Year as well ... also named the Wooster Daily Record and Wayne Country P-O-Y as a senior after everaging 17.9 points, 5.9 assists and 3.8 rebounds ... led the district in scoring, and set the school[apos]s single-game record with 43 points ... was named to the Akron Beacon Journal first team ... had 13.2 ppg en route to all-state honorable mention and All-Federal League Second-Team honors as a junior ... played in only 11 games as a sophomore due to an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury ... also had been named to the Federal League second team as a frosh ... WHS won sectional championships in her last three years, with two district titles as well ... Ohio North-South All-Star Team selection ... earned four letters in track and field, competing in the discus, shotput, high jump and long jump ... also earned three soccer letters as a goalkeeper ... was a first-team all-league pick in the discus, and was an All-OCC First-Team pick on the pitch her senior year ... also named the Player of the Year in soccer by the Daily Record that season ... Whitney Jane Taylor was born April 2, 1986, in Wooster, Ohio ... visual communication technology (VCT) major ... after earning a perfect 4.00 GPA in the spring, 2007, semester, now has a cumulative GPA of 3.88 ... daughter of Dave and Pam Taylor ... has an older brother ... mother played several sports (lacrosse, swimming and diving) and was a cheerleader at Wittenberg ... has played club ball for numerous teams, including Varsity Athletic Club Wildcats, Wooster Lady Lakers and Ohio Gold.
