Kari King
- Title:
- Assistant Coach
A former Falcon and player under current head coach Stephanie Young, Kari King is in her second season as assistant women’s golf in 2018-19. King was a standout golfer for Bowling Green from 2003-07.
King assists with all aspects of the program, including team travel, administrative duties, and on-course coaching during tournaments. With golfers typically all over the course during tournaments, an extra coach on the course has been very beneficial for the Bowling Green women’s golf program.
During her playing career as a Falcon, King was named the 2007 Mid-American Conference Sportswoman of the Year, becoming the first-ever BGSU women’s golfer to be awarded the honor. King went on to finish 11th at the MAC Championships that season, which was the top Falcon performance at the conference championships since 2004.
A Perry High School (Canton, Ohio) graduate, King was recently inducted into her high school’s Hall of Fame. King still competes in various amateur events.
