Ciera Martin officially joined Brittney Emmons' Bowling Green staff on Oct. 1, 2024 as an assistant coach. Martin brings with her an impressive gymnastics background, both as a standout athlete and a dedicated coach, with experience that will contribute greatly to the program's continued success.
Before coming to BGSU, Martin served as the Gymnastics Director of Operations at Southern Utah University and was the Executive Director of the Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference. Prior to that, Martin was an All-American gymnast for Boise State from 2011-2015, excelling on vault, bars, and floor. She made history by scoring the first perfect 10.0 on vault in Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference (MRGC) history and earned numerous accolades, including MRGC Gymnast of the Year in 2014 and Academic All-American honors throughout her collegiate career.Â
Martin also served as president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) at Boise State.Â
Martin received a bachelor of arts in communications in 2015 from Boise State University and a master of communications from Southern Utah University in 2022. Martin has also worked outside college athletics, including most recently as a national recruiter for Apex Systems.
Martin and her husband, Bryce, reside in Bowling Green with their daughter. Her husband, Bryce, is an assistant coach for the BGSU men's basketball program.Â
