Named to the All-MAC First Team ... also named to the All-Ohio First Team ... chosen to the MAC[apos]s All-Tournament Team for the second consecutive year ... anchored a defense that posted a school-record 14 shutouts in 22 games ... had eight points on the year, on three goals and a pair of assists ... converted penalty kicks in back-to-back home wins, against Tennessee Tech (Sept. 12) and Marshall (Sept. 14) ... named the MAC Player of the Week on Sept. 15 after helping the Falcons to wins in those two games ... in addition to the PKs, helped anchor a BG defense that outscored the opposition, 10-0, that weekend ... had her first career three-point game in the MAC Tournament, scoring on another PK and picking up an assist in quarterfinal-round win over Western Michigan (Nov. 2) ... other assist came against Northern Illinois (Sept. 26).
2007
Named the team[apos]s co-defensive MVP ... shared the honor with fellow sophomore Samantha Bland ... named to the MAC[apos]s All-Tournament Team ... also chosen to the All-Ohio Second Team by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association ... started all 22 games ... one of just four Falcons to start every match ... had one assist on the season, which came on the winning goal in the second overtime at Miami (Oct. 21) ... although not credited for them in the [apos]official[apos] stats, had a pair of goals ... took the first kick during the PK phase of two MAC Tournament matches, and was true on both ... scored against both Ball State in the semifinals and Toledo in the championship round, giving the Falcons the early lead each afternoon ... of her 15 shots on the year, a total of 10 were on goal.
2006
Named to the MAC[apos]s All-Freshman Team ... anchored a Falcon defensive unit that set a school record with 10 shutouts (since broken) ... played in all 20 games, making 18 starts ... started the final 17 contests of the year ... the Falcons[apos] primary free-kick taker, had a pair of assists, including a game-winning assist off a last-minute free kick vs. Eastern Michigan (Oct. 22) ... other assist came vs. Michigan State (Sept. 15) ... BG[apos]s defense set school marks for fewest goals allowed, both overall (26 in 20 games) and in MAC games (10 in 11 games) ... the Falcons had seven shutouts in the 11 conference regular-season contests ... was in the starting lineup in her first collegiate match, at #16 Marquette (Aug. 25) ... first collegiate assist came in the MSU game, as Stacey Lucas converted her lone entry ball on a free kick ... also assisted on Samantha Bland[apos]s goal with just 47 seconds left in regulation in the EMU game.
HIGH SCHOOL
A four-year starter at Strongsville ([apos]06) under coach Jon Felton ... earned a veritable plethora of honors during her tenure with the Mustangs ... was named an All-American by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as a senior, after helping the team to a second state championship in her four years (2002 and 2005) ... a two-time all-state selection, earning first-team honors as a senior after being named to the third team the prior year ... the Pioneer Conference MVP in 2005 ... team earned district titles in all four seasons, as well as a pair of league titles ... SHS went 73-8-9 in her four years, and never lost a home game (37-0-4) ... Mustangs allowed only 34 goals in those 90 games, and had 68 shutouts.

Colleen Kay Kordan was born Sept. 20, 1988, in Bedford, Ohio ... a marketing major at BGSU ... daughter of Victor and Diane Kordan ... the youngest of two children ... has an older brother, Kyle ... part of a long line of Strongsville H.S. products to come to BG ... that list includes Michelle Lisy, Jenny Berlovan and Nikki Pucillo ... has played club ball for the Cleveland United ... was on the Ohio North ODP team in both 2004 and '05 ... also was on the regional team and attended the national ODP camp.
