William Lynch completed his first season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Bowling Green Falcons Tennis program in 2023. Before being promoted to assistant coach in the 2023 fall season. The Falcons won six matches, eclipsing the previous season's total despite having one of the youngest rosters in the conference. BGSU won five consecutive matches in non-conference play, matching the program's longest win streak since 2013. The Falcons had a player or duo recognized with a weekly conference award on five occasions, the most in a single season since 2010. At the end of the year, Eloise Saraty was named second team All-MAC, BGSU's seventh time in eight seasons having a player earning conference recognition. Ioanna Tsadari and Hannah Neuman each earned a pair of academic awards, garnering selection for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team and the Academic All-MAC Team.
Lynch has multiple years of experience teaching tennis in various settings. Lynch comes to Bowling Green as a member of the Professional Tennis Registry, where he has earned the designation of Instructor.

Lynch spent five years working at the Forest Lake Club in Columbia, South Carolina, teaching private and group tennis lessons. Lynch assisted in junior clinics and was also responsible for regular court maintenance.

Lynch additionally spent the previous two summers as an instructor at the University of South Carolina’s Wilson Tennis Camps. As an instructor, he assisted campers with various techniques during both drills and match play.

Lynch’s coaching career began with the Hammond School Plus Programs where he gave private and group tennis lessons to students after school and during the summer.

While in college, Lynch was a member of the University of South Carolina’s Club Tennis team. In high school, Lynch was member of the Hammond School Varsity Boys’ Tennis Team. While at Hammond, Lynch was named South Carolina Independent School Association (SCISA) Regional Boys’ Player of the Year for four years.

In 2023-24, his second season with the Falconn, the team went 19-6 at the IUPUI Fall Invitational. During the Spring season of competition, he helped guide the Falcons to wins over Dayton, University of Mary, North Carolina A&T and Oakland. Additionally, adding sweeps over Western Illinois, Slippery Rock and Indiana Tech. Following the conclusion of the season, he helped Tia Clemens be named the Recipient of the Leann Grimes Davidge Sportsmanship Award and three of his players were named Academic All-MAC selections.Â
