Shelly Schwamberger began as the football secretary for the 2014-15 season and has continued in that role. She started her duties in the football office in July of 2014 after working in the Office of Residence Life at BGSU from 2007-14.

In the football office, Schwamberger is responsible for coordinating all travel for the Head Football Coach, along with managing his schedule. She provides administrative support for not only Scot Loeffler, but the entire football staff. Schwamberger is also in charge of student staff, processing and submitting all related paperwork and necessary information. She also assists with all management of the football office, ordering supplies and equipment. She serves as the initial point of contact for Falcon Football, and is the face of the office for guests, recruits, and everyone who calls or comes into the office.

Schwamberger previously worked in the Office of Residence Life at BGSU for 10 years prior to joining the football staff. She also has experience in the Office of Gifted Programs at BGSU, and worked in the private sector for over a decade prior to that. She is a member of the National Honor Society and earned the Classified Staff Outstanding Service Award for the Office of Residence Life in 2009-10.

A native of Genoa, Ohio, Schwamberger holds a bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University. She and her husband Troy have two children – Erin and Jena – who are both students at BGSU.
