Today we announce the No. 6 story of the year:
BGSU Women's Basketball Coach Jennifer Roos Named MAC And Region 4 Coach Of The Year
Second-year head coach Jennifer Roos led the Bowling Green women's basketball team to 30 wins for just the second time in program history, a Mid-American Conference regular season championship and a trip to the WNIT Quarterfinals. For the work she did with the program, she was rightfully recognized as one of the top coaches in the entire country, earning MAC Coach of the Year honors as well as the Russell Athletic/WBCA Region Coach of the Year. She was one of eight regional award winners and was a finalist for the Pat Summitt Trophy, presented to the national coach of the year. As proof of the stable of coaches who have roamed the sidelines for BGSU women's basketball, she is the fourth head coach in program history to earn the regional award for the eighth time in total.
