Falcons Prepare For All Ohio Races

THIS WEEK: The Bowling Green State University cross country teams will head to Delaware, Ohio, for Friday's (Oct. 8) All Ohio Championship. The races feature colleges and universities located in the state of Ohio. The women's race is scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m., while the men's meet begins at 2:45 p.m.
The following week, the teams will head to different sites, with the men of coach Sterling Martin running at the Cincinnati Invitational (Oct. 15), and the women of coach Cami Wells competing at the Pre-National Meet in Bloomington, Ind. (Oct. 16).
LAST WEEKEND: The BGSU men's squad travelled to Auburn, Ala., for the Auburn Bank Invitational Friday (Oct. 1). The Falcons finished 15th in the 34-team race, with a team score of 387. Individually, senior Dan Flaute was the first Falcon to cross the finish line. Flaute placed 67th overall in the 269-runner race, with Kreg Hatfield placing 75th. Dave Larson and Tom Kutter also finished in the top-100.
The women's team competed at the Notre Dame Invitational Friday (Oct. 1). BG finished 12th in the 21-team meet, with a team score of 303. Junior Christine Thompson was the first Falcon to cross the line, placing 44th overall. Nikki Monroe was 45th, while Lisa Schroeder placed 63rd in the 140-woman race.
