Miller Second In Nation For Three-Point Accuracy

The NCAA has released the latest Division I women's basketball statistics, and Bowling Green State University is listed in several three-point shooting categories. Individually, sophomore Francine Miller (Kalida, Ohio/Kalida) ranks among the national leaders in three-point field-goal percentage, while as a team, the Falcons are listed among the top-10 in three-pointers made per game. Both Miller and the Falcon team have moved up several notches on their respective lists.
Through seven games, Miller ranks second in the country with a three-point field-goal percentage of .625. She has made 15 treys in 24 attempts this season.
As a team, the Falcons are tied for sixth in the nation in three-pointers made per game, having made an average of 8.1 treys per outing. BGSU has drained 57 triples in the first seven contests of the year, including a school-record 14 against Mississippi (Nov. 26).
The NCAA Division I statistics are released each week (generally late Tuesday or early Wednesday) during the season. This week's stats, however, are the last until Jan. 4, 2000. From that point, national stats will be released each week through March 4.
BGSU is 2-5 overall heading into Monday's (Dec. 20) home contest against Washington State. That game will begin at 7:00 p.m. at BG's venerable Anderson Arena.
