Masters Named CCHA Defensive Player Of The Week

Bowling Green freshman goalie Tyler Masters (Calgary, Alberta/Kindersley Klippers) was named Central Collegiate Hockey Association Defensive Player of the Week after recording his first collegiate shutout in the Falcons 1-0 triumph at Lake Superior on Saturday.
Masters made 24 saves in the win including 13 in the opening period. He also helped hold the Laker power play scoreless in seven attempts. Masters has not allowed a goal in his last 84:35.
After playing nine of its first 13 games on the road, the Falcon icers return home to host the University of Michigan this Friday at the BGSU Ice Arena. Face-off is at 7:35 p.m. The home-and-home series concludes Saturday night in Ann Arbor. Face-off at Yost Ice Arena is slated for 7:05 p.m.
