Coach Denise Van De Walle garnered her 300th career victory with the Falcons' three-game win over Mississippi State Friday (Sept. 10). BGSU posted 18-16, 15-7 and 15-12 triumphs en route to the victory, which came at the Marquette Challenge in Milwaukee, Wis. Van De Walle is now 300-201 in her 17th season, all with the Falcons. Already the winningest coach in BGSU history, she became just the second coach in Mid-American Conference annals to reach the 300-win mark with Friday's win. (Miami's Carolyn Condit earned her 300th win last fall.) Senior Melissa Lewis led the Falcons with 17 kills, 13 digs and a .342 attack percentage in the MSU match. Classmate Lori Kemerer had 12 kills, 11 digs and six blocks.
