RENEW THE RIVALRY
The Falcons will battle their third-oldest rival, Eastern Michigan, for the first time since 1994 and for just the third time during the Blackney Era. BGSU defeated Eastern Michigan 17-6 in 1991 in Blackney's first game ever with the Falcons and won a 30-13 road decision in 1994. These teams first played each other in 1919, in BGSU's third game ever. The institution formerly known as Michigan State Normal College took home a 10-0 victory.
BACKSLASH
True freshman running back\quarterback\kick returner Josh Harris has proved to be an exciting addition to the Falcons lineup. Recruited as a quarterback, Harris peeled his redshirt off when the Falcons entered the Akron game with only one healthy running back. He returned three kicks for 75 yards, including a Falcon season-best 39-yard run. Against Miami, he carried the ball 18-times for 103 yards and completd one pass for six yards. His 55-yard run which set up a field goal, was the third longest non-scoring rush in BGSU history. A former standout at Westerville North High School, Harris is the son of former NFL player Michael Harris, a 10-year veteran who played six seasons with Cincinnati.
