Women's Soccer Student-Athletes Honored

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference office announced the 2000 MAC Women's Soccer Honor Roll, and nine members of the Bowling Green State University team were among those honored.
Seniors Michelle Lisy (3.67 grade point average/master's in education), Ashley Enser (3.55/child & family community services), Autumn Harris (3.22/design studies), Stephanie Heller (3.16/biology) and Janice Mentrup (3.57/elementary & special education), junior Annmarie Aparo (3.50/health science) and sophomores Jill Conover (3.89/health science), Erika Flanders (3.53/art education) and Tracy Gleixner (3.25/integrated language arts) all were named to the team.
To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher and earn a letter for the current season. Freshmen and transfers are not eligible, as a student-athlete must have attended the institution for an entire year to qualify for the award.
The Falcons finished the 2000 season with an overall record of 10-10-1, and BGSU finished in seventh place in the MAC with a 5-5-1 league mark. BGSU advanced all the way to the championship match of the MAC Tournament before falling, 1-0 in double overtime, to Miami.
