Volleyball Student-Athletes Honored

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference office has announced the 2000 MAC Volleyball Honor Roll, and seven members of the Bowling Green State University team were among those honored.
Seniors Krista Davis (3.90 cumulative grade point average/biology) and JoAnna Papageorgiou (3.85/biology), juniors Natalie Becker (3.22/biology) and Amber Vorst (3.73/communication disorders) redshirt sophomore Kristin Gamby (3.37/accounting), sophomore Kate Yeo (3.60/finance) and redshirt freshman Laura Twyman (4.00/accounting) all were named to the team.
To be eligible, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher and earn a letter for the current season. True freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible, as a student-athlete must have attended the institution for an entire year to qualify for the award.
The Falcons finished the 2000 season with an overall record of 21-9, and BGSU tied for the MAC's East Division title with a league record of 12-6.
