Falcons Win All-Ohio Invitational

The Bowling Green State University women's gymnastics team won the All-Ohio Invitational hosted by Ohio State Friday night with a team total of 194.025 points. Kent was second in the meet with 193.900 points and the host school was third with 193.425.
Sophomore Marny Oestreng was the top individual for the Falcons winning the all-around with a total of 39.300 and the vault with a score of 9.875.
Oestreng tied for first in the bars, with Mary Beth Doerr from Ohio State, with a score of 9.825 and was also second in the beam with a 9.800. She tied for fourth in the other event, the floor exercise, with a score of 9.800.
The next best finish for the Falcons was turned in by Amber Curry in the vault where her score of 9.775 tied her for third place.
BG's team score was its best of the season.
The Falcons had the highest team score on the bars and beam which carried them to the victory.
BG is now 8-7 on the season.
