Bowling Green vs. Miami

BGSU COACH DAN DAKICH
"Miami did a good job of controlling the tempo of the game throughout. We couldn't get running at all, which is something we like to do. At some point, my goal is to lead the nation in scoring. What they did was put three guys back rather than crash the boards, and as a result we were not able to get the transition game going."On the last-second three-pointer by MU's Jason Grunkemeyer at the end of regulation: "We are one rebound away from victory. That shot, and the one by Stewart in overtime, were a couple of big-time plays. Both of those players were key in Miami's run last season and gained some valuable experience, which there is no substitute for."
"I thought our team did a good job of coming back late in the second half when we were down by six points. We showed some toughness, and I am very proud of our players. Not a lot of people expected us to have the type of season we've had, but we knew it was possible."
"If the MAC regular season means anything, then we should be in the NCAA Tournament. If the MAC regular season doesn't mean anything, then we shouldn't be in the NCAA Tournament."
SENIOR FORWARD ANTHONY STACEY
"We just didn't make the plays down the stretch, especially myself. If I'm not making the plays, then it's going to be more difficult for us to win."On entering OT after the Miami three-pointer: "We put it behind us and we knew it was going to be a dogfight, like it had been the whole game. We just didn't come out and do the things we needed to do."
