MIAMI, Fla. - The Bowling Green softball team erupted for a four-run first inning en route to a 7-2 victory over Florida A&M Sunday (March 5). The game was part of the Golden Panther Invitational, hosted by Florida International, in Miami, Fla.
Sophomore pitcher Jessie Milosek earned her second-straight win, surrendering five hits on the day. At the plate, freshman Libby Voshell went 2-for-3 with three runs batted in. She slammed her first collegiate homer, a two-run shot.
Junior Jenny Domschot was also 2-of-3 and drove in a run, while Colleen Bates had a pair of hits, including a triple, in four at-bats. Bates had two RBI in the game.
The Falcons, now 2-3, complete tournament play later on Sunday with a game against Ohio State.
