The Bowling Green State University women's track was in seventh place after the second day of the 2000 Mid-American Conference outdoor track championship being hosted by the University at Buffalo.
Freshman Mary Willems (Huntington, Indiana) was third in the shot put with a BGSU season-best toss of 45'1.75" - 13.76m, while junior Lori Williams (Erie, Pennsylvania) was fifth with a toss of 44'1.50" - 13.45m. Freshman Chassity Gulley (Toledo, Ohio) was 18th with a toss of 39'09.25" - 12.12.m.
Junior Christine Thompson (Amherst, Ohio) won her heat in the 800m in a time of 2:14.25 to qualify for the finals. Sophomore Anna Schwieterman (New Bremen, Ohio) placed sixth in her heat in a time of 2:20.26. Freshman Briana Killian (Englewood, Ohio) placed sixth in her heat in a time of 2:22.41.
Sophomore Jovone Houpe (Gahanna, Ohio) placed sixth in her heat of the 400m in a time of 59.90.
Freshman Joy Echler (Montpelier, Ohio) was seventh in her heat of the 1,500m in a time of 4:50.52, while freshman Cyndi Bostdorff (Pemberville, Ohio) was 11th in her heat in a time of 4:58.90.
Christine Thompson placed 13th (10:18.62) in the 3,000m, with senior Nikki Monroe (Elida, Ohio) placing 22nd (10:55.59).
Junior Bethany Kohler (Oregon, Ohio) placed seventh in her heat of the 400m Hurdles with a time of 1:10.39. Sophomore Erin Coleman (Fostoria, Ohio) was eighth in her heat in a time of 1:15.33.
