Falcon Qualifies For NCAA Track Championship

Bowling Green State University senior sprinter Rah'Sheen Clay (Cleveland, OH/Collinwood) will be participating in the 2000 NCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championship next week (May 31-June 3) in Durham, North Carolina. The 79th annual championship is being hosted by Duke University.
The 200m preliminary will take place on Wednesday, May 31 at 8:45 pm with the semifinals scheduled for Friday, June 2 at 8:35 pm. The final will be at 8:10 pm on Saturday, June 3.
Clay is listed 17th among the qualifiers in the 200m with a time of :20.64. Auburn's Coby Miller had the season's best-time at :20.17.
Clay earned All-America honors in 1996 by placing seventh in the 200m finals in a time of :21.31. That year, he had the fifth fastest time in the prelims (:21.43). Clay was redshirted during the 1999 season.
