Hockey Renovation Project Update

After two years of planning and fundraising the "Advance the Tradition" Hockey Renovation Project is moving forward. The project will upgrade the Falcon hockey area of the BGSU Ice Arena. A new addition on the northeast end of the present structure will house a conference room, fitness and training areas, coaches offices, as well as an Alumni Room that will recognize former Falcons and be an area where recruits will be surrounded by the "legacy" that is BG. The new addition coupled with a renovated locker room area will help bring the hockey facility into line with other new or remodeled facilities in the conference.
Contributions from former players, generous hockey supporters and friends have enabled the project to raise over $500,000.00 toward the $700,000.00 total to date during the silent phase of the fundraising efforts. The final "public" phase will begin shortly.
