Cuervo Assigned to Marketing Position

BOWLING GREEN, O. - Frank Cuervo, 25, has accepted the position of Athletic Marketing Coordinator at Bowling Green State University. Cuervo will be responsible for the marketing of 22 sports at BGSU and corporate sponsorship and advertising sales. He will have additional duties associated with the sales and production of The Gary Blackney Show and The Dan Dakich Show, both shown locally on WTVG-13 ABC, and with the radio coaches shows.
A native of Gainesville, Florida, Cuervo most recently served as a marketing associate in the athletic department at The Ohio State University. While at OSU, Cuervo initiated and supported marketing and promotional efforts for all 35 athletic programs while also maintaining and servicing sponsor relationships. He graduated with a Master's Degree in Sport Management in May.
Prior to his appointment at Ohio State, Cuervo also worked in the athletic marketing department at the University of Florida and with the Outback Bowl, where he gained experience in sponsor recruitment and promotions. He also spent one year as an Assistant Account Executive at Manning, Selvage & Lee Public Relations Agency.
"Frank will be able to contribute immediately to the athletic department," said Assistant Athletic Director Kristin Bernert. "He is creative and has a strong reputation for getting the job done."
Cuervo is a 1997 graduate of the University of Florida.
