Women's Gymnastics Finishes Third At All-Ohio Championships

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University women's gymnastics team finished third at the All-Ohio Championships Sunday, at Anderson Arena. Ohio State captured the event with a score of 195.575, Kent State was second at 193.150, and BGSU finished with a score of 191.175.
Ohio State sophomore Sarah Spring won the all-around title with a score of 39.000. OSU junior Jill Tucker and senior teammate Lindsey Vagedes tied for first in the vault at 9.950. Vagedes also won the floor exercise at 9.900. Kent State sophomore Jenny Eckel and senior teammate Kelly Lovejoy were first on the beam with scores of 9.825. Junior Mary Beth Doerr of Ohio State won the uneven bars at 9.875.
BGSU was led by junior Marny Oestreng who finished third in the all-around (38.750), second in the bars (9.850) and third in the vault (9.925). Senior Cristin McClellan finished third in the floor exercise at 9.800.
