Women's Golf Finishes Third at EKU

Richmond, Kentucky - The Bowling Green State University women's golf team finished in a third place tie at the Eastern Kentucky University Fall Invitational, Friday and Saturday in Richmond, Ky.

The Falcons finished eight strokes behind Butler (347) with a 36-hole total of 655. Illinois State was second at 652 and Eastern Illinois tied BGSU in the 15-team event.

Junior Shelley Binzel led BGSU with a 155 over two rounds, finishing in a tie for second in the individual standings. Jenny Schnipke was 15th at 165, Stephanie Elsea was 23rd at 166, Shannon Smith was 39th at 171, Julie Wise was 54th at 177, and Kari Evans was 74th at 187.
