BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The NCAA has released the first region rankings of the season for volleyball, and Bowling Green State University is ranked ninth in the region. The Falcons of head coach Denise Van De Walle are ninth in the Mid-East Region (District 2).
Wisconsin of the Big Ten Conference leads the regional poll, while Ball State, ranked eighth, is the lone Mid-American Conference team ranked ahead of the Brown and Orange.
The Falcons, 7-2 overall and 1-1 in MAC play, hit the road for a pair of conference matches this weekend. BGSU will play at Buffalo Friday (Oct. 5) and Akron Saturday (Oct. 6) before returning home to entertain Kenet State on Wednesday, Oct. 10.
