Falcons Finish Second Day of Competition at Notre Dame

South Bend, Indiana - In the second day of competition at the Notre Dame Invitational, the Falcon women saw ten qualify for finals in individual events. The meet continues on Saturday (Dec. 8) with prelims set for 10 a.m. and finals scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
The first event of the night, the 200 medley relay, placed two Falcon teams. The A relay, made up of Alicia Coburn, Alissa Davies, Angela Jones, and Kim Moden, finished seventh in a time of 1:51.01. The B relay was 10th in a time of 1:56.02. That team was comprised of Melinda Dawes, Erin Dilkes, Kelli Pydynowski and Amy Smith.
Three BG swimmers placed in the 100 fly. Angela Jones was the highest finisher for BG, finished the race in 1:02.71, good for 15th. Kelli Pydynowski, swimming in the C heat, finished in the faster time with 1:01.99 to place 19th. Amy Smith was 21st in a time of 1:02.44.
Jessica Humes was the only Falcon swimmer in the 200 free, finishing eighth in a time of 1:56.49.
Six Falcons placed in the 100 breast with Davies finishing the highest for the Brown and Orange. Davies finished sixth in a time of 1:07.42. Teammates Sarah Agnew (8th, 1:09.28), Erin Dilkes (10th, 1:08.57), Katy Monnette (19th, 1:12.03), Kelli Pydynowski (22nd, 1:14.24) and Amber Adler (23rd, 1:15.40) also swam in the final heats of the event.
Alicia Coburn had a 20th place finish in the 100 back in a time of 1:03.54.
The 800 free relay, the final event of the night, finished 9th in a time of 8:10.80. The team was made up of Humes, Smith, Dilkes and Jones.
The women divers competed in the 3 meter competition and BG had six divers place. Emily Hois was the highest finisher, placing sixth with 371.30 points. Molly Peterson was 11th with 324.20 points, Carlyn Cusack was 14th with 312.75 points, Ryan Donley was 15th with 307.90 points, Lindsay Hines was 18th with 292.95 points and Molly O'Donnell was 23rd with 249.50 points.
