Bowling Green Defeats Eastern Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Keith McLeod scored 21 points as Bowling Green beat Eastern Michigan 71-45 Saturday night.
Bowling Green (12-10, 8-5 Mid-American) had a 33-24 halftime lead and kept improving from there.
The Falcons shot 29-of-57 (50.9 percent) from the floor for the game and 6-of-9 from 3-point range. The Eagles (3-20, 1-13) shot 16-of-48 (33.3 percent) overall and 2-of-13 from outside the 3-point arc.
Bowling Green outscored the Eagles 44-24 in the paint.
The Falcons led Eastern in steals 11-1 and lost the ball 12 times compared to the Eagles' 20 turnovers. Eastern starting guard Rod Wells had a game-high five turnovers and was scoreless during his 34 minutes.
Ryan Prillman led the Eagles with 12 points. Melvin Hicks added 11.
Len Matela contributed 11 points for Bowling Green.
