Men's Tennis Moves To 4-0

CINCINNATI, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University men's tennis team used wins at five of the six singles flights to post a 5-2 victory at Xavier University Friday (Feb. 2). The win boosted the Falcons' dual-match record to 4-0 on the season.
Junior Vitek Wild led the way with a straight-sets win at the top flight, downing Danny Sturdevan. Classmate Mike Kossoff was victorious at the third flight, while freshman Nick Moxley and sophomores Micael Lopez-Acevedo and Peter Gardonyi recorded wins at the fourth, fifth and sixth levels, respectively.
Host XU had captured the doubles point with wins at the top-two flights. BG's third-flight team of Moxley and Gardonyi recorded BG's lone doubles win, while Wild and sophomore Geoff Hiscox were defeated in a tiebreaker at the top flight.
The Falcons remain on the road for a Saturday (Feb. 3) match at Butler University.
