Falcons Win At Butler, 4-3

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Bowling Green State University men's tennis team remained unbeaten in dual-match play, with a 4-3 road win over Butler University Saturday afternoon (Feb. 3). The Falcons are now 5-0 on the season.
For the second-straight day, BGSU lost the doubles point before rallying for the win. Sophomore Geoff Hiscox played at the top flight for the Falcons, and downed BU's Brandon Currie in straight sets. Junior Vitek Wild also posted a two-set victory, at the second flight. The Falcons got singles wins from sophomore Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo at the fourth level and senior Brandon Gabel at the sixth flight.
In doubles action, BG's lone winning team consisted of Nicolas Lopez-Acevedo and Gabel at the second flight.
The Falcons will continue a four-match road swing with a Feb. 16 match at Marquette. Coach Jay Harris and the Brown and Orange will remain in Milwaukee to take on UW-Green Bay the following morning.
