Women's Track Finishes Second At Western Michigan

Kalmazoo, Michigan - The Bowling Green women's track squad competed Saturday in the Western Michigan Triangular, finishing the day in second place. The host Broncos won the meet with 156 points, while the Falcons were second with 120 and Michigan State in third with 78.
Individually, three Falcons picked up first place honors on the day. Sophomore Joy Echler (Montpelier, OH) established a new team-best for the season in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:55.46. Senior Stephanie Heldt (Toledo, OH) continued her strong campaign winning the high jump for the fourth time this season, with a leap of 5-7. Classmate Andrea Cook (Marysville, OH) also took top honors in the pole vault, clearing 12-0 to pick up the win.
The Falcon women return to competition starting on Friday when they travel to Des Moines, Iowa to compete in the Drake Relays.
