Kylee Cubbison Earns MAC Track Athlete of the Week Honors for Record-Breaking Performance

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – Last weekend, Kylee Cubbison made school history after shattering her own record in the 1500-meter. With this performance, the Mid-American Conference announced that she is the MAC Track Athlete of the Week.
The senior placed ninth in a field of 119 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, dashing to a program-record 4:15.16 finish. She bettered her old record by a little over a second, holds the top time in the MAC and ranks 72nd in the NCAA.
Cubbison is the third Falcon this season to be recognized, and the first to earn it in the outdoor season. She joins teammates Rachael Hoover and Morgan Patterson for the honor this year.
Hoover, who also ran the 1500m at Bryan Clay, finished in 4:16.91. She is second in the record books, just behind Cubbison.
