Women's Golf Finishes Second At Western Michigan

Portage, Michigan - Freshman Jenny Schnipke (Kalida, OH) fired a season-best round of 74 to lead the Bowling Green women's golf team to a second place finish at the Bronco Invitational hosted by Western Michigan University. Schnipke rebounded from a round of 83 on Sunday by shooting the lowest score of any golfer in the field on her way to a third place overall finish.
Sophomore Shelley Binzel (Dublin, OH), the Falcons first-round leader Sunday, cut six strokes off her first day score with a round of 77 on Monday to place her tied for sixth overall. Sophomore Emily Hassen (Berkey, OH) playing as an individual in this meet, fired an 86 Monday to finish tied for 18th overall.
The squad's next action comes beginning on Friday when they travel to Champaign, Illinois to take part in the two-day Illini Spring Classic hosted by the University of Illinois.
