Angie Domschot Named To MAC All-Tourney Team

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. - Bowling Green State University softball senior Angie Domschot has been named to the Mid-American Conference All-Tournament Team. The team was announced Saturday at the conclusion of the MAC Tournament.
Domschot, a native of Toledo, Ohio, led the Falcons with a .556 batting average in the MAC Tournament. She had five hits, including three doubles, in nine at-bats. The second baseman scored three of BGSU's nine runs in the tourney.
The Falcons (35-19) went 1-2 in tournament play. BGSU lost to Northern Illinois, 2-1, on Thursday (May 10), before rebounding to defeat Ohio, 6-1 in 10 innings, the next morning. That evening, Ball State eliminated BG from the tournament with a 3-2 decision.
Central Michigan won the tournament, defeating BSU, 8-3, in Saturday's championship game.
CMU had five players selected to the all-tourney team, including MVP Hope Robertshaw. The Chippewas' Michelle Brander, Amber Puchalski, Jen Skuta and Kim Burke joined Robertshaw on the team, which also included Ball State's Marcy Mobley and Katie Shea and Northern Illinois' Gretchen Szymski and Suzie Rizek.
