Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University athletic department will give its fans an opportunity to help victims of last week's terrorist acts in New York and Washington D.C. at this weekends BGSU/Temple football game. There will be four volunteers located at each gate (4 gates total) dressed in American Red Cross Vests with American Red Cross Disaster Relief containers to raise money for those in need during this recent national crisis.
Cash and checks will be accepted. Checks should be made out to the American Red Cross with Disaster Relief Fund printed on the memo line.
"I think all of us want to help in some way," said BGSU Director of Athletics Paul Krebs. "Hopefully, this will be a convenient and easy way for individuals of all ages to participate."
In addition, the athletic department will donate its proceeds from its 50/50 raffle this weekend.
