Athletics Program Earns MAC Academic Honor

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Bowling Green State University has won the Mid-American Conference Institutional Academic Achievement Award, with the highest grade-point average since the inception of the award, the MAC office has announced.
BGSU recorded an institutional GPA of 3.19 for the 2001 season. The Falcons capture the honor for the third time in the seven-year history of the award. BGSU won the award the first two years, with a 2.88 GPA for the 1994-95 season and a 2.89 GPA in the 1995-96 academic year.
The honor is presented to the Mid-American Conference member that has the highest overall institutional grade-point average for student-athletes competing in MAC-sponsored sports. A complete list of the 2000-01 results follows:
