BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana University got wins at every flight to post a 7-0 victory over the Bowling Green State University women's tennis team Sunday (Jan. 20). The dual match, the first of the season for the Falcons, was held at the Indiana Tennis Center.
The Hoosiers opened the match by winning all three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. BGSU's lone senior, Devon Bissinger, teamed with sophomore Lisa Maloney at the top flight. First-year Falcons Susan Schoenberger, a freshman, and Alyson Gabel, a junior, competed at the second level, while freshman Laura Kokinda and sophomore Jessica Johnson participated at the third flight.
In singles action, Schoenberger extended her match to a third set at the fourth level. Other Falcon singles competitors included Bissinger, sophomore Lisa Maloney, Gabel, Kokinda and freshman Cameron Benjamin.
The Falcons will return to action with a Monday (Jan. 21) match at Xavier University. Starting time is scheduled for noon.
